I MISS HIM SO
Though time may pass, the memories stay,
Reminding me of happy days . . .
Among my fondest memories are special thoughts of you
And all the many nice things you would often say and do.

There are memories of the many times
You brightened up my days.
There are memories of your kindness
And your gentle, thoughtful ways.

There are memories of your laughter
And the times you'd smile your special smile,
Just knowing how you loved life
Made it all seem so worthwhile.

And when I recall these memories
As I go without you along life's way,
I find they grow more precious
With every passing day.

I LOVE YOU JON

GARAGE SALE

After accumulating stuff for 35 years, I held my first garage sale. I've decided it's so much easier to put the stuff in a box and take it to the DI trailer. After going through each box and deciding what to throw out, what to sell and what to keep, then putting the sale items back in a box. The week of the sale I picked up tables from the church, Kaylinn came over and we spent about 4 hours going through the boxes again, putting a price on everything and displaying it on one of six tables. At 7:00am Saturday morning we are trying to put the stuff out in the driveway and on the lawn as people are already looking to buy. We couldn't get it out fast enough.

About 12:30 the numbers were few and we really had sold a lot of stuff so I started to put the leftovers back in a box. I still made three trips to the DI truck and more stuff for the garbage. I found the silk flowers didn't sell at all and they all went in the garbage. Sad! Along with my Christmas tree of 20 years! Sunday I took the tables back to the church. The whole thing was exhausting and I'm so glad it's over . . . but happy to say at least I did it once in my life. I made $255. My garage is almost ready to park the car in, yea!
